Week 16

 ตลอดระยะเวลา 4 ปี ภายในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ มีเรื่องราวต่างๆเกิดขึ้นมากมาย มีทั้งสุข และทุกข์ปะปนกันไป และนี่คือสีสันของชีวิต เราทุกคนมารวมกันที่นี่ โดยมีเป้าหมายเดียวกัน คือเพื่อศึกษาหาความรู้ พัฒนาศักยภาพของตัวเอง และเตรียมพร้อมกับการใช้ชีวิตในวัยทำงาน ที่มีภาวะการแข่งขันที่สูงขึ้น บุคคลใดที่มีความพร้อมมากกว่า บุคคลนั้นก็จะถูกเลือก ฉะนั้น เราจึงควรสร้างคุณค่าในชีวิตมหาวิทยาลัยให้ได้มากที่สุด ด้วยการตั้งใจศึกษาเล่าเรียน และเก็บเกี่ยวประสบการณ์ไปในโลกของความจริง การเรียนรู้ในห้องเรียนช่วยทำให้เราฉลาดขึ้น แต่การเรียนรู้นอกห้องเรียน จะช่วยทำให้เราแข็งแกร่ง และเข้าใจโลกมากขึ้น

  สำหรับภาคเรียนนี้ ถือเป็นภาคเรียนสุดท้ายของการใช้ชีวิตในมหาวิทยาลัย ประสบการณ์ต่างๆที่ได้จากการเรียนในภาคเรียนนี้ เป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นและเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการใช้ชีวิตในอนาคตค่อนข้างมากสำหรับการเรียนสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเทอมนี้ ข้าพเจ้าเรียนทั้งหมด 5 วิชา ดังนี้ 

1. วิชา ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารทางวัฒนธรรม ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมของไทย เเละได้เผยเเพร่วัฒนธรรมไทย ประเพณีไทย เเละอาหารไทยให้ชาวต่างชาติรู้จัก เข้าใจมารยาทในการใช้ภาษามากขึ้น การใช้ภาษาที่เป็นทางการ และไม่เป็นทางการ  การใช้ภาษาที่ดี คือการรู้จักภาษาในทุกๆด้าน และข้าพเจ้าได้มีโอกาสทำงานกลุ่มร่วมกับเพื่อนๆซึ่งเป็นงานที่มีความสำคัญสำหรับพวกเราทุกคน เพราะเป็นงานที่ต้องนำเสนอความสามารถด้านภาษาผ่านเทคโนโลยี จากการที่ข้าพเจ้าได้มีโอกาสทำงานร่วมกับบุคคลอื่นทำให้ข้าพเจ้าได้รับความคิดแปลกใหม่ซึ่งเกิดจากการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกัน การได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นซึ่งกันและกัน การถกเถียงกันจากการประชุม ส่งผลให้เราไม่เป็นคนที่ยึดมั่นถือมั่นในตนเองมากเกินไป รู้จักควบคุมอารมณ์ตนเอง การเป็นผู้ฟังที่ดี  รู้จักทักษะสังคม  รู้จักยอมรับความคิดเห็นของบุคคลอื่น  ขณะเดียวกันก็ทำให้เราได้แง่คิด หลากหลายมุมมอง ซึ่งเป็นการพัฒนาสติปัญญาของเราในตัวในโลกของการทำงานเราจำเป็นต้องทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่นดังนั้นการที่เราสามารถปรับตนเองให้เข้ากับบุคคลหลายประเภทได้งานที่รับผิดชอบก็จะดำเนินไปด้วยความเรียบร้อยและไม่มีปัญหา

2.วิชาการแปล3ข้าพเจ้าได้รู้คำศัพท์ใหม่ๆเเละเทคนิควิธีการแปลภาษาที่ถูกต้อง การแปลประโยคจากภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ การเขียนประโยคให้ถูกต้องตามหลักไวยากรณ์ ทำให้นักศึกษาเข้าใจและเเปลภาษาได้ดีขึ้น 

 3. วิชาภาษาศาสตร์กับการเรียนภาษา ข้าพเจ้าได้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการฟัง พูด อ่าน เขียน ในวิชาภาษาศาสตร์ รวมทั้งได้รู้จักวิธีการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ  การสังเคราะห์เสียง การรู้จำเสียง ให้ถูกต้องตามหลักโครงสร้างของภาษา มากไปกว่านั้นข้าพเจ้า ได้ความรู้ใหม่เกี่ยวกับการเขียนเเผนการจัดการเรียนรู้  เทคนิควิธีการสอนและประเภทของสื่อการสอนที่ถูกต้อง รวมไปถึงการบริหารการจัดการชั้นเรียน

4. วิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารทางวิชาการ ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนเกี่ยวกับการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลข่าวสาร การพูด การฟัง การอ่าน การเขียน การทำงานกลุ่ม รู้จักการวางแผนการทำงานก่อนลงมือทำ

  5. วิชาการศึกษาอิสระ วิชานี้เป็นวิชาที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการทำวิจัย เเละเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล การวิเคาะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน      

 ในระหว่างภาคเรียนนี้ ข้าพเจ้าสามารถฟัง พูด อ่านและเขียนภาษาอังกฤษได้ สามารถสื่อสารกับเจ้าของภาษาได้โดยใช้วัจนภาษาและอวัจนภาษาได้อย่างถูกต้องความรู้และประสบการณ์ต่างๆ เหล่านี้ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนรู้จากคณะครู อาจารย์ที่มีความรู้ความสามรถ และมีประสบการณ์  ทุกๆได้ถ่ายทอดให้กับนักศึกษา เพื่อให้นักศึกษามีความรู้ ความสามารถ และนำความรู้ไปใช้ในอนาคต 

ชีวิตการเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย เป็นช่วงชีวิตที่มีความสุขช่วงหนึ่งของข้าพเจ้า เป็นชีวิตที่มีอิสรภาพด้านความคิด ไม่มีกฎ ระเบียบบังคับเหมือนช่วงเรียนโรงเรียนมัธยม เราสามารถออกแบบและวางแผนการเรียนในแบบที่เราต้องการมีเวลาให้กับตัวเองมากขึ้น รู้จักเพื่อนใหม่ๆ และมีสังคมที่กว้างขึ้น มีเป้าหมายชีวิตที่ชัดเจน จากการเห็นแบบอย่างของรุ่นพี่ หรือคนรอบข้างที่เรารู้จัก  รวมถึงการค้นพบตนเองว่าชอบ หรือถนัดอะไร มหาวิทยาลัยเป็นสถานศึกษาเล่าเรียน ไม่ใช่สถานที่ที่ทุกคนมาเพื่อแสวงหาความรู้เพียงอย่างเดียวแต่เราต้องพยายามหาความสุขให้ชีวิตเราด้วยเพื่อประสิทธิภาพในการเรียนรู้ของเรา การเที่ยวกลางคืนไม่ใช่เรื่องผิดแต่ก็ไม่ใช่กิจวัตรของเด็กมหาวิทยาลัย การที่เราใช้ชีวิตมันก็เหมือนกับเหรียญที่มีสองด้าน เราควรเห็นชีวิตในด้านมืดบ้าง อย่างน้อยที่สุดก็คือการสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันให้กับตัวเอง  ไม่หลงผิดหรือมัวเมา หากแต่ต้องใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีสติ พึงระลึกอยู่เสมอว่าเรามาที่นี่เพื่อมาเรียนหนังสือ มีบ้างที่เราจะเที่ยวเล่นตามประสาวัยรุ่นแต่ก็ไม่ใช่การเที่ยวเตร่ไร้สาระเสียคนไปวันๆหนึ่งข้าพเจ้าบอกกับตัวเองเสมอว่า“ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ทำให้คนที่คอยดูความสำเร็จของเราต้องผิดหวัง”เนื่องจากสังคมทุกวันนี้ไม่ได้ต้องการเพียงคนเก่งด้านวิชาการเพียงด้านเดียวแต่ต้องการคนที่มีความสมบูรณ์ทั้งความรู้ทางวิชาการ วิชาชีพและวิชาชีวิตด้วย ข้าพเจ้าพยายามแสวงหาความรู้ และเก็บเกี่ยวประสบการณ์ให้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้ เพราะอีกไม่นานข้าพเจ้าก็จะสำเร็จการศึกษา และเป้าหมายต่อไปก็คือการทำงาน ข้าพเจ้ามีความพร้อมที่จะจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี และอยากใช้ความรู้ความสามารถจากรั้วมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ ไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการทำงาน และพัฒนาองค์กรต่อไป

สำหรับเป้าหมายชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าหลังจากที่จบการศึกษา ข้าพเจ้าอยากเป็นครู และทำงานในโรงเรียนใกล้ๆบ้าน  ในช่วงที่ผ่านมา ข้าพเจ้ามีโอกาสได้ฝึกประสบการณ์ในโรงเรียน ข้าพเจ้ามีความสุขและมีความภาคภูมิใจที่ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการพัฒนานักเรียน เหตุผลที่ข้าพเจ้าอยากเป็นครู เพราะข้าพเจ้าอยากพัฒนานักเรียน อยากใช้ความรู้ที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนมา ถ่ายทอดให้กับนักเรียน อยากให้พวกเขามีความสุขกับการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษอย่างที่เราทราบกันดีแล้วว่าโรงเรียนแถบชนบทจะไม่มีโอกาสเหมือนโรงเรียนที่อยู่ในเมืองใหญ่ เด็กนักเรียนส่วนใหญ่ยากจน พ่อแม่เป็นชาวนา ข้าพเจ้าคิดว่าหากเราอยากพัฒนาการศึกษา เราควรพัฒนาให้ครอบคลุม ถ้าโรงเรียนทุกโรงเรียนมีครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ทักษะทางภาษาของนักเรียนอาจจะดีขึ้น หากเราทุกคนร่วมมือร่วมใจกัน เหตุผลสำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งคือ สมัยที่ข้าพเจ้าเรียนอยู่ในช่วงมัธยมข้าพเจ้าชื่นชอบครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษและมีความสุขทุกครั้งที่ได้เรียนข้าพเจ้าคิดว่าวันหนึ่งหากมีโอกาส ข้าพเจ้าก็อยากจะทำหน้าที่นั้นบ้าง ส่วนเรื่องระดับความรู้ความสามารถด้านภาษาอังกฤษ  ข้าพเจ้าคิดว่าข้าพเจ้าพร้อมและมีความสามารถในการสอน หรือถ่ายทอดความรู้ที่ข้าพเจ้ามีได้อย่างเต็มที่และมั่นใจว่าจะสามารถพัฒนานักเรียน พัฒนาการศึกษา และพัฒนาองค์กรได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

A few days, the time for studying in the university is nearly finished. The time was very quickly. Work life was about to start.

In the last week, it’s the time to do my whole works. For translation course. I got to test about translate the sentence for keeping score. I can answer the question well, because before I got to test I read a book so hard. For this course, I thought I got to new knowledge more. Teacher described and brought the lesson which has a lot of useful for students. When I studied, I’m very happy and I understand the lesson all time. 
       In English for culture communication course. For the final project, after we finished to record video. In our group, we had to create video at the library together. The last video, we would to show about how to make the ancient Thai food to foreigner. Which, we brainstorm to make video perfectly. We must to show foreigner understand and interested in our video. On that day, we’re enjoyed in group working. My friends and I shared new idea together. This course makes me got to new experience and good friends. If members of the task was not complete. I want to say thank you all of friends who helped to make every project could pass well and thank you for new friends that make a good friendship to work. In addition, I liked to study this course because the teacher was very kind. She train the students had responsible. After I studied this course, I thought reflective journal very useful for me. I could to write the good sentence and got to new knowledge vocabulary more. It’s helped for training writing skill and developed English language with their own.

For independent study course, on Thursday 16 march 2017. This course was very interested for me. In our group, we presentation research about Plants and Herb Ban Sa Som. Before we’re present the research. We shared information for preparing. Some friends helped to translate vocabulary and some friends helped to present. I responsible in the part of booklet. It’s so difficult, I didn’t do it but I could make pass it well. Because I watched video on YouTube how to create booklet of myself. Then, in our group had to present pass well. The teacher told us that we present well. We’re very glad from comment teacher.

   Lastly, if there was no teacher that day, I would not be there today.  I want to say thank you all teacher. Who gave knowledge and keep training me. I would to take my knowledge and all of skills that I got from the university over 4 years to use and apply in my life.

I thought “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. And Difference between school and life? In school you are taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.

In this week, on Tuesday 7 March 2017. In English for culture communication course. We had to present about how to make and ingredients of the ancient Thai food. In our group, we’re going to make two menus meat dish and dessert for the last project. It's popped rice in coconut milk  (ข้าวตอกน้ำกะทิ) and Marinated rice with papaya salad (ข้าวมันส้มตำ) Before we record video on this Thursday. Then, each group would to answer questions from teacher of each person. On that day, I worried about the question because I’m excited and I afraid my answer  didn’t perfect but when I answer the question I could  answer  the question well. I want to say that you didn’t worry if you never do it.  Next day, on Wednesday 8 March 2016. We went to the Nong Bua Market for buying ingredient and equipment. We went to the market joyfully. We bought ingredient meticulously. After that, we went to friend’s house for keeping ingredient together. At afternoon, on Thursday 9 March 2016. My friends and I record video at friend’s house. For me, I’m cooking dessert. It’s popped rice in coconut milk.  On that day, I'm very enjoying with my friends. It's a great time of me.  We help and shared new ideas together. Moreover, I got new experience about how to make this menus and I thought in our group, we could to make food well. In addition, this menu was very delicious. If you interested in our menus you could make it easily by yourself.

Finally, for the final project, we want to show the foreigner about the ancient Thai food. Because this menu that harder to find in nowadays. Which has a lot of useful for our health it has fiber that can reduce fat and sugar in our body.

For this week, on Wednesday 2 March 2017. In English for culture communication course. For The last project of our group. We went to the library for practice dialogue of each person realistically.

On that day, I’m very excited because I described about how to make popped rice with coconut milk and benefits of popped rice such as Popped rice in coconut milk is Thai dessert which has a lot of useful for our health. It has fiber that can reduce fat and sugar in our body. Moreover, there is vitamin inside it; this is anti- oxidant that helps to protect cancer and anti-aging. Then, we practiced the dialogue seriously. Sometimes, I forgot the dialogue but I tried so hard. For English in Academic Situation course. On Friday 3 March 2017. I got test about study skills, Reading skills and Note-Making. Before I got test I read a book willingly. Moreover, I got test about following is a sample main map containing information from the text on the group of whales. For example, all whales fall into two groups, those with teeth. Its beluga and dolphin. In the part of toothless, it’s blue whale and baleen whale. When I got test,I did know vocabulary of whales and I think this examination very difficult. Although, this examination so difficult for me but I could do to test well.

Finally, for  English in Academic Situation course. I got a lot of new knowledge about group of whales. For me, I’m so serious and I think I can’t do it well because this examination very difficult.

In this week, we had to present the traditional Thai food menu for final project. We selected snack and dessert for cooking in this project. It's Marinated rice with papaya salad (ข้าวมันส้มตำ) (eat with papaya salad) and  Popped rice in coconut milk (ข้าวตอกน้ำกะทิ) because it was the ancient food that is hard finding to eat it in nowadays.

On that day, we went to the library for creating video. My friends and I prepared the dialogue together. Then, we helped to translate ingredients and how to make menu in English. The Rice cooked in coconut milk was very quiet difficult for our group because we must to make meticulously. Moreover, we hadn’t made this menu before, but we had to made it best. For Popped rice in coconut milk is Thai dessert which has a lot of useful for our health. It has fiber that can reduce fat and sugar in our body. Moreover, there is vitamin inside it; this is anti- oxidant that helps to protect cancer and anti-aging. In my life, I liked to eat the dessert this menu was very appetizing but I never eat it before. I was very excited to make this menu.  Now, I would like to make it already.

Finally, the last project was very interested for me. It made me excited all time. Although it's difficult and it's new menu, I would try to make it meticulously. I'm very happy all project because every project made me improve myself and always got new experience. I hope all of you enjoy with my menu,  Moreover I hope you enjoyed with Thai food, dessert and culture.

In this week, English for culture communication course. We had special class about Traditional Thai Food. We had special lecturer was the owner of "Nam Sai art & decor" He showed us how to made " Kanom Cheen Saw Nam" He was very kind and always smile when he made food. This menu was very interested for me because it's ancient food and very popular for having during the summer in Thailand.

Normally, I had Kanom Cheen with vegetables and curry sauce but this menu was different because this menu had a lot of  ingredients herbs such as julienned ginger, thinly sliced peeled garlic and chapped peeled pineapple. On that day, I was very excited for making this menu. My friends and I made "Kanom Cheen Saw Nam" willingly. Everybody prepared equipment and ingredients together. Somebody carved cucumber and somebody prepared decorated plate. While I was cooking this menu. I thought "Kanom Cheen Saw Nam" had many benefits. For instance, the benefits of pineapple it helps improve oral and eye health, help heal wounds and protect against infection and reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. After that, the lecturer walked around to test the food in each group. He appreciated about food and decoration the plate in our group. He told us that,we decorated plate beautifully. We felt very glad. Then, my friends and I taste "Kanom Cheen Saw Nam" happily.

Finally, I would liked to thank you the lecturer that he came to demonstrate how to make Kanom Cheen Saw Nam for us. That made me got new knowledge and I know how to make a new menu, it's Kanom Cheen Saw Nam. This menu was very delicious and easy to make for everybody. Moreover, it's good for our health   because of Thai herbs. When I went back to my home. I would to  take this menu for my parent. I though they would love my special menu the same as me.

For this week, on Monday 6 February 2017.I studied translation course. During I studied with my friends. I got new vocabulary and the news information from this lesson such as Fidel Castro dies at age 90 and Number of poor Thais shrinks. For example, the number of poor in Thailand fell to 4.9 million last year from 7.1 million in 2014 as the country's economic growth and myriad state policies helped raise income, says the government's planning unit. Then, I studied with my friends happily.

On Wednesday 8 February 2017. My friends and I went to the library for made homework about English in Academic Situation course. In the topic, stebs in note-making such as when we read paragraph, we must be read each paragraph through to differentiate between main and supporting ideas. Underline highlight or circle key word and phrase identified. On that day, we shared new ideas together. Sometimes, when I made the homework. I didn't know some vocabulary and some sentence. It's made me always confused but I didn't worry about it. I would to practiced and active by myself.

Lastly, for transition and English in Academic Situation course. For English in Academic Situation course, this lesson was very interested for me. Although, it's so difficult but I liked to study this lesson. In the part of transition course, I always got the new knowledge. It's made me know vocabulary and how to translate more. Moreover, group working in English for culture communication course. I got new experience when I record and edit video. Which made me learned about fast learning and hard working, make me able to work under pressure and flexible time more.

In Thailand, festival take place all year around thought the practice of these festivals, Thai customs, traditions and religious beliefs have been passed those the ages. Each festival has its own origin and significance such as Loy Krathong festival, Songkran festival and etc.

At night, on Thursday 2 February 2017. My friends and I record video about Loy Krathong festival. In this assignment, I had to show role play like the master of ceremonies. I'm very excited when I on the stage. Moreover, we explain history of Loy Krathong festival, how to make Krathong, Loy Krathong song and history of Nophamas. For example, the history of Loy Krathong Festival is slightly obscure. First, it is to ask for apology from the water goddess for having used and sometimes made rivers and canals dirty. Second, it is to offer flowers, candles and joss sticks as a tribute to the footprint of Lord Buddha on the sandy beach of the Nammatha River in India. Third, it is to show gratitude to the Phra Mae Kong Ka or Mother of Water. Fourth, it is to wash away the previous year’s misfortunes. And history of Nophamas, A Beauty Queen Contest is an important part of the festival and for this occasion. it is called "The Nophamas Queen Contest". Nophamas is a legendary figure from the Sukhothai period. Old documents refer to her as the chief royal consort of a Sukhothai Kng named "Lithai". Nophamas was said to have made the first decorated Krathong to float in the river on the occasion. During I record video with my friends I'm very happy so much. Sometimes, we founded many problems but, we would to try together. In addition, I liked this assignment. I enjoy to create Krathong with my friends. Because Krathong made from natural resources such as leaves and trunk of banana adorned with flowers.
         Finally, Loy Krathong day is one of the most popular of Thailand and very important for Thai people. Loy Krathong festival makes me know about history of Nophamas and Loy Krathong song. Lastly, I want to say thank you all of friends.Who make me happy and enjoy in group working.

Week 8

For this week, we had the midterm examination. My midterm examination was on January 25, I got one course for midterm exam, it’s translation course. Before I got test, I prepared for midterm test  by reading a book and vocabulary so hard. Because reading the books  made me pass the exam. After I finished midterm for this course, it was so easy for me. I was very happy. I could do the test, and I thought it wasn’t difficult.

On Thursday,  26 January 2017, in English for cultural communication. After we're finished second assignment about verbal, non-verbal and Thai social values. I had meeting with my friends at the canteen UBRU. We got the next assignment. The next assignment was Loy Krathong festival. This topic was very interested for us because Loy Krathong Day is one of the most popular festivals of Thailand. It celebrated annually on the Full- moon Day of the Twelfth Lunar Month. So, our group would help and brainstorm for creating this topic perfectly. On that day, we're shared new ideas and prepared for creating video together. Moreover, we thought this assignment was quite difficult, but we could make it easily. Because we used to have some experience like this before. So, we know what is the problem and know how to resolve the problem easily. We would make perfectly as we can.

Finally, this assignment was very important for us. Our group would make it  the best. We would  relay acculturation Thailand to foreigners. In addition, to inherit Thai traditions and support Thai culture in the next future.

In this week, On Monday, 16 January 2017. I studied translation course. Before I study the lesson I got test the vocabulary for keeping point. During I got test, I forgot some vocabulary because some word it was difficult for me. After I finished the class, I went to the canteen with my friends for having lunch together.

Last Sunday, we got appointment at 2A building UBRU for recording video. I thought that, this assignment it's so difficult for me because we must be action truthfully. On that day, we enjoyed and happy on working in group. In this assignment, I have to show role play like the teacher. I'm so excited and enjoyed with my friends. Because, the teacher was my future plan of me. Sometimes, we had many problems about disturbance sound. So, it made time delayed. However, we tried to make this assignment perfectly. On Tuesday, 17 January 2017, we got appointment at the library at UBRU for editing video. We helped and shared new ideas together.

Finally, working group always gave me an experience. This assignment makes me know about Thai culture more. In addition, this assignment is so difficult for me but I believe that I could pass it well.

Week 6

Week 6

This week, on Monday 2017. I studied translation course. It’s important for me. During I studied in the class, I was very happy all time.

On Tuesday, English for culture communication. We had to presentations about problems and obstacle for working. In this assignment we found many problems such as weather and scripts. For example, when we're recording video we forgot script because we were excited. On that day, the weather was very hot and windy so make time delayed. Then, I will saw the video about Thai verbal & non-verbal language and Thai social values. In Thai culture verbal and non-verbal languages go hand in hand. Even if visitors can communicate with Thais verbally. Therefore, we need to learn how to explain these two aspects of our language to visitors, in English. In the past of Thai social values , Thais should be able to explain and give insight into everyday Thai life and to describe the cultural aspects of being Thai. After I saw videos, I liked Thai greeting and how to WAI video. because I thought that, this video was very important for everyone. It’s cultural of Thailand. Everyone had to practice and I prouded that I was born in Thailand. Wai is a form of Thai culture which represents various aspects of Thai honorific system. For example, wai shows Thai politeness, respect, honor, and friendship. Thais wai when greeting or leaving. Moreover, The wai is also used to say '' sorry '' or '' thank you ''. After that, we got the new assignment about Thai verbal & non-verbal language and Thai social values. It’s second assignment for us. On Wednesday, We planned and shared new ideas for created video together.

Finally, working groups always important. In addition, I felt very enjoyed and happy when I'm working in group. I thought  this second assignment is very difficult for us, but we would to try so hard together.

Week 5

Week 5

For this week, it’s nearly the New Year Festival. New Year’s Day is a national holiday, it’s celebrated on January 1st, the first day of the Year.  On New Year’s holiday, is often marked by fireworks, parades and reflection upon the last year while looking ahead to the future’s possibilities. On this time, many people like to come back to their home, celebrating New Year’s, staying with their family, having special meal and do activities together.

For me, before beginning the new year, I went to the temple, Pra That Nhong Bua Temple, it is the popular temple in Ubon Ratchathani. My family and I dress in white, we prepared to pray for New Year. Last year, I went to Sam Pan Bok to count down, but this year I would like to pray at the temple. Many people believe that praying makes their life are better, and they get the good thing all the year, I believe too. On that day, I wore a sweater because the weather is so cool at mid night. A lot of people went to the temple, we donated money to charity and then we prayed together. I was very happy that I had begun the good thing for my life. Next day, in the morning I went to the temple with my family.  We made merit and offered dedicated to Buddhist monks. Then, we pay respect to Buddha and offered some food for the monks. After that, we listed to sermons, releasing fish and feeding fish happily. In the evening, I had a little party with my family and we had special dinner together.

    Finally, I was very happy for New Year’s Day. I wish, this year is wonderful for me because I began the good thing at beginning of the year. Especially, I stayed with my family and had a party together. We talked and shared experience happily. Because of the family is very important for me, I love and wish to live with them forever.  I would like to say “Happy New Year” to everybody.
